NON-FICTION SCORES…Tune in this weekend to hear two brand new scores about historically important, yet controversial people. We'll explore Howard Shore's score to A Dangerous Method, which tells the tale of the tense relationship between Sigmund Freud and Carl Jung. Shore's classically centered score uses a well known theme as it's melodic anchor. We'll hear from Shore regarding his take on composing classical music versus film music.
On the second half we'll hear from orchestrator/composer Conrad Pope with his score to My Week with Marilyn. Pope has an intense artistic command over the orchestra, which has always shown in his collaborations with composers like John Williams, Alan Silvestri, Hans Zimmer, and James Newton Howard. Find out how he does fully billed as a composer. Tune in this Saturday at 8pm and again Sunday at 5pm on Classical 91.7FM.
