Violist Rita Porfiris performs for us, and conductor Horst Foerster talks about their concert of Bartok, Wagner and Berlioz with the Texas Music Festival Orchestra.

Host St.John Flynn chats with Horst Foerster, who conducts the rising young musicians of the Texas Festival Orchestra in Wagner’s Flying Dutchman Overture and Berlioz’s Symphonie Fantastique on June 18 at the Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion and June 19 at the Moores Opera House. Also on the program is Bartok’s Viola Concerto with Rita Porfiris as the soloist. Ms. Porfiris treats to a sampling of her artistry in the studio.
