Choreographer Eric Gauthier is Artistic Director of his own contemporary dance company based in Stuttgart, Germany. The troupe makes its U.S. debut with performances of Gauthier’s piece, Orchestra of Wolves. Gauthier Dance is one of a baker’s dozen of international dance companies that will appear on the Bayou City’s 15th annual Dance Salad Festival. Windsync performs pieces by Gary Schocker, Franz Danzi, Jacques Ibert and Heitor Villa-Lobos … plus the world premiere of A Ballad of Robin Hood, a musical drama for wind quintet, which the ensemble commissioned from Rice University undergraduate-student composer, Garrett Schumann. ?The concert is tomorrow evening at?7:30 in the Shepherd School of Music’s Duncan Recital Hall.?Admission is free.
