Scotland's Battlefield Band – voices, fiddle, bagpipes, accordion and all – perform live in KUHF’s Geary Performance studio, treating us to some of the tunes they'll perform tonight at McGonigel's Mucky Duck…

Stella Pope Duarte is the author of a new collection of short fictions, Women Who Live in Coffee Shops and Other Stories, to be released next week. She speaks with KUHF’s Eric Ladau. For this month’s Artful Thursday event — tomorrow evening at 6:30PM at the Museum of Fine Arts Houston — Ms. Duarte reads excerpts from her tales and speaks on the subject, Navigating the Cultural Labyrinth: Latinas’ Lives Explored through Literature and Film. Her presentation will be followed by a screening of a short but powerful documentary film, Marianism.  Listen Download
