American composer, Augusta Read Thomas, talks about the World Premiere of her concerto, Absolute Ocean for Soprano, Harp & Orchestra. Houston favorite, Susan McDonald, premieres her new piece for classical guitar, live in our studio! Plus, we chat with Grammy-winning jazz singer Diane Schuur.

Classical guitarist-turned-composer, Susan McDonald (pictured above) joins host St.John Flynn, live in Studio 3-C.  She plays some of her new pieces, including The Birthday TangoQuasimodo and The Aquarium: A Marine Micro-Ballet for Guitar & Sea Creatures.  Ms. McDonald’s Houston recital is January 25 at Memorial Drive Presbyterian Church.  Listen  Download
