On today’s show Roger Daily, Robert Franz, and Jane Clark all talk about their affiliation with the Ima Hogg Young Artist Competition.  Also, we hear from vocalist, actor, and instrumentalist Edmund Bagnell who performs a song from Sweeney Todd, which is part of this year’s Broadway Across America-Houston series…

Jane Clark, chair of the competition, Roger Daily, the Symphony’s Director of Education and Community outreach and Robert Franz, a judge of the competition, all spoke with St. John Flynn about the Houston Symphony-Ima Hogg Young Artist Competition. Tomorrow ten semi-finalists will participate in concluding elimination round all day in Stude Concert Hall at Rice University’s Shepherd School of Music.   Listen.  Download.

Edmund Bagnell gives a performance-interview with Bob Stevenson, in the KUHF Performance Studio. Bagnell plays the role of Tobias in John Doyle’s production of Stephen Sondheim’s award winning musical Sweeney Todd, which is on stage at the Hobby Center and presented Broadway Across America-Houston series.  Listen.  Download.
