KUHF News Reporter Laurie Johnson takes a trip over to The Beer Can House at 222 Malone St.. It’s the city’s 2nd-best known example of “outsider” art and is a flashy homage to All Things Beer. The Orange Show has just restored it and opened it to the public for the first time.  Listen.  Download.

Kris Becker is a pianist, composer, teacher and church musician who will give the last recital of the season for the Piano Recital Series at Houston Community College Northwest. Wade Wilson is the former Director of the art League of Houston and wanted to do something special for the 2nd Anniversary of his commercial gallery, Wade Wilson Art, on Montrose Blvd. He invited jazz vocalist Kristine Mills to merge a previous engagement into a pair of concerts featuring non-other than pianist Tommy “TJ” James and trumpeter, arranger and conductor Barry Lee Hall, Jr. from the Duke Elligton Orchestra. Wade Wilson and Kristine Mills and her local trio join KUHF’s Eric Ladau in Studio 3-C for a preview.  Listen.  Download.
