The Masterworks Chorus’s 2008-2009 season has borne the title, From Darkness to Light, and the concert series concludes with a program called “The Voice of Prophecy;” it’s a complete performance of Felix Mendelssohn’s oratorio, Elijah. Irish fiddler Kevin Burke and American guitarist and composer Cal Scott, in collaboration with other Texas and Irish musicians, will spend most of the afternoon and early evening on Saturday, performing on the McGonigel’s Mucky Duck Pub Stage at the Houston International Festival. Sunday, they’re scheduled to appear at three different times on as many I-Fest stages, including a 2:30PM set with guest piper, Tom Creegan, on the H-E-B Cultural Stage, hosted by your friends from KUHF, Houston Public Radio.
